Good Times in St. Louie

Ava trying to catch a bunny at Purina Farms, but he hopped too fast.
Ava is a bunny for a day at the Magic House. She loved the tennis balls from one of the "cause and effect" things. You are supposed to leave the balls, but Ava just wanted to keep them.
Ava played in the water. Luckily they had smocks or she would have been soaked. Of course she wanted to take these water toys with her.......what a little thief!
Ava you are so brave! This is a big slide she did by herself. Well I was at the bottom just in case :)

While my mom was out visiting, we planned a trip to St. Louis to visit Kate and her family. It was nice to make the drive with someone who could entertain Ava if needed. And we needed it! My mom packed a little purse full of goodies for Ava. Everything in that little purse was a hit. I took several of these items on my trip last week (which of course I probably won't blog about until next year!-only kidding) We went to Purina Farms and the Magic House while we hung out at Kate's. The day we went to the Magic House they were having "Trick or Treat". The kids all dressed up and Ava wore a bunny costume Ella wore when she was one. We took it off when Ava wanted to play in the water area.

Pumpkin Patch.......Yeah, Yeah Back in October.

Last month my mom came in to town. One of the things we did while she was here was take everyone to a pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch had some animals to pet (too bad I didn't get a picture of the miniature pony eating my mom's leather jacket-tee hee), and a wagon ride pulled by Clydesdale horses. We were lucky to get a nice sunny day.

Push Comes to Shove

At first it seemed like they were having a good time, but then Ava decided she wanted Chase off! She is trying to push him off.

Finishing up Phoenix

Ava loved feeding Harley while we were in Phoenix. Although sometimes she would put her hand down and tease the dog. She just loves food too much to always share (:
Marley Park in Phoenix has a great little water area. Ava and Chase loved aim the huge water gun. Ava wanted to do everything that Chase did.

Even little Tally loved getting her feet wet.

Bumbo - Fun For All

Ava loved her Bumbo when she was smaller. She just had to sit in Tally's when we were in Phoenix visiting Jess. I thought a comparison of the two would be cute. Yes, Tally has as much or more hair than Ava, and in this picture Tally is only 4 mo. old.

Guess What I Can Do With These Hands?

On our way to Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago Ava was being so cranky. I pulled out my emergency gloves, that look like they are from the 70's, and let Ava play with them. They kept her entertained for at leat 15 minutes! Yes in Wisconsin you never know when its going to snow, so you should always have emergency gloves in the car (:

Come here little doggie!

Chase kept Maya and Ava entertained as he acted like a little dog and came throught the doggie door. They loved it. They were giggling like crazy. Pheonix was so much fun and I have a lot more pictures to post..........tomorrow...........or next week......well sometime soon.

Ava the Turtle.

While we were at the zoo we spent some time in the new play ground that opened two weeks prior. Ava climbed into the turtle and then climbed out where the head is supposed to be. She did not want to be a turtle. I was surprised she even climbed inside that turtles shell.

Another trip to the Zoo.......Yeah in October.

These little monkies were more interested in trying to climb the fence then the animals that were fenced in.
Sharing lunch
No Surprise, they were out in minutes.

We went on a play date with our firends Derrek and Deanna. We were lucky to get such great weather in October. These two had a great time and kept us running. And apparantly the lion at our zoo is a loud mouth, because he roared again while we were there. Or maybe he thinks Ava looks yummy......or maybe I look yummy........Only kidding.

At the Zoo .....Last month!

We got to watch our niece and nephew last month on a beautiful October day. We of course decided to make it a field trip that included lunch at Rocky's and Popsicles at the Zoo. The strangest thing happened that day. Just before the park closed, the Lion started roaring and I mean loud! We were right there watching him while he roared and roared. I have to say it was a teensy bit scary!

Blankie where are you.......?

Ava is way attached to a couple of blankets my mom made for her when she was a baby. Well of course I can only wash one while Ava carries the other one around. Well she was watching the laundry go around and she spotted her other blankie. She tried with all her might to open the washer. She wanted it out that instant! A video of this would have been much funnier, so you'll just have to imagine (:

Punkin's

We carved pumpkins last night. We got our pumpkins at a local pumpkin patch while my mom was in town. (I'll post those later, I am totally behind on my blog.........) So in case any of you are wondering what Ava is wearing, it's one of my old T-shirts. She liked carving pumpkins for a little while and then she didn't want to carve pumpkins and she didn't want us to carve either. Funny girl. I tried to make her pumpkin have one of her funny faces she does all the time. I also put a bow on the stem because it looks just like her hair-do. Hee hee

GOoooo BADGERS!

Ava and Daddy

Running........and Running
Finally taking a rest.
Can you believe she is lying down........Gross!
Playing with ice that a concession stand discarded, Don't worry she didn't eat it!

We all went to the Wisconsin Badger Game a few weeks ago. The weather was nice and that can be unusual for Wisconsin this time of year. Ava sat on our laps until halftime and then I volunteered to hang out where she could run around. There is a nice open area where the concession stands are, and she didn't stop running..............and running. I had to chase her all over. She didn't want to hold my hand and honestly she didn't care if I was following her. Towards the end of the game her energy finally started to run out. I gave her a bottle and then she signed sleepy to me. And she should have been tired since she hardly got a nap earlier. I took her back into the stadium and we watched the last 7 minutes of the game. It was an exciting 7 min and of course I think the end is the best part (:

Is Matt Crazy???

Matt has been holding Ava like this since she was very little. Maybe he secretly wished he was a Yell Leader instead of a Star Fooball Player. Ava of course loves it and I absolutley hate it. I get so nervous. SO notice those two little ponies. I don't often get her hair in two ponies because I have to do her hair while she is running around, adn two ponies must be evenly spaced and going in the same direction. One pony can go anywhere on top of her head. Matt joked and said when she is throwing a fit, they look like little horns.

Last Pictures of Our Boise Trip........

My Grandma picks Blue Berries every 4th of July in Oregon and then freezes a whole bunch to last throughout the winter. Ava went crazy over these big frozen blue Berries. They probably felt good on her gums. She got two molars while we were in Boise. We managed to go through an entire gallon of Blue Berries in 10 days. Grandma would even sneak them to her when I wasn't looking.
We put the sprayer on Mist and let her go to town. She was giggling like crazy as she was spraying herself in the face.
Cousin Johnny, Grandma, and Baby Mariah.
Me, Ava and my cousin Ben eating at the little kids table. Ava wanted to do anything Ben was doing. It was so cute watching him explain the game Candyland to her. Ben will be an awesome big brother to Mariah.

So it took me awhile to get my Boise Trip posted. I guess I just wanted to brag for a couple weeks.........or I had so much fun I just had to post a lot.............or my computer is sooooooo slow that I could only dedicate one upload a night (2 tonight Woohoo!). So I'm sure you are all looking forward to a few new posts to come: UW Football Game (GO BADGERS!!), The Zoo, and and some other fun things I can't think of right now. Trust me they'll be good!

A Hike in Boise

Pinch Daddy's Ear.
Dave and Sara
Wild Turkey's!

We went on a small hike in Mack's creek where my bio. father has a very cool little cabin. Ava loved being outside. Her favorite thing though were the wild turkey's. She probably thought they were giant chickens. It was nice to spend the day in the canyon and hear lots of great stories that Dave told. I hope Ava gets a love for the outdoors.

Taste like Chicken

Ava eating the bread for the chickens.
Silly chickens eating out of our hands.

While we were in Boise we chased and fed my Grandma's Bantee Chickens. Ava decided to eat the bread that she was supposed to throw to the chickens. She didn't want to share it with those silly chickens. She was cracking me up. She would hold it out for 2 seconds and then quickly pop it into her mouth.

Boise Idaho Sept 2007

4 generations!
Cousin Isaac and Ava, she's blowing him a kiss.
Sister Michele and Ava
Brother Mark and Ava...........Mark cut his hair after this trip (:

We took a family trip to Boise to see family. Some were in town for the Labor Day Weekend and some are lucky enough to live there permanently. We had an amazing time and it was good to see everyone. I'll name all the people I was able to see. Grandma, Grandpa, my Mom, Brother Mark, Sister Michele, Aunt Diane, Uncle Ernie, Cousin Isaac, Cousin Jacob, Uncle John, Aunt Christina, Cousin Andrew, Cousin Johnny, Cousin Ben, Cousin Baby Mariah (sooo cute), and my Father Dave Walker. We stayed at my Grandma's and she is a wonderful hostess. Ava and I were their 10 days and Matt was there for 5 days. We made pots, chased chickens, and ate the best peaches and pectarines (a peach nectarine cross.....) you can ever imagine. I have a lot more pictures to add from our trip but these are the first couple of days. More to come.
