We started a tradition for New Years last year. We have cheese and chocolate fondue. Last year we were all sick with a cold, so we stayed in for sure. This year we were traveling until New Years Eve, so we did our fondue dinner on New Years Day. As you can see Ava is just a wee bit rounder this year. Last year she was 10% on the growth chart and this year she is above 97%........the introduction to solids did wonders in the growth chart area for us. This year we kept the cheese warm in a crock pot knowing our daughter would find open flame a little curious. We had apples, bread, mushrooms, and cauliflower and yes Ava is eating the cauliflower, but not with cheese. She didn't really dig this kind of cheese. For the chocolate, which Matt and I devoured, we had strawberries, bananas, angel food cake, and cherries. We got Ava down and let her have a couple of bites, otherwise she/we would have been dealing with a major sugar high. It is no surprise that she loves chocolate, as it is in her genes on both sides of the family. The word chocolate is part of her small vocabulary too!
